Horrific Blues

If any of you ever wondered what a stereotypical "Chandni Bar" would look like, please visit "Pacific Blues" in Noida. Its missing the bar girls, obviously. This is where we went to celebrate Life, Universe and Everything a couple of weeks ago, and ended up laughing at the rowdy lot on the dance floor more than anything.


The first thing that strikes you about this pub is the lack of girls. Now, a bunch of guys admittedly never gets admission into a pub with an abundance (if such a pub exists) of females, but this one weirdly has almost none. All over the place fat bastards were lying around drunk, enjoying the crowd hooting and cheering to "gud naal ishq mitha" playing on the dance floor above.

The narrow staircase leads into a spartan blue lit area with a bar in one corner, metallic furniture everywhere, a metal staircase leading up to the "restricted" dance floor and funny sparkly drapes in places that lend a eerie-gaudy look to the place.


We were completely comfortable and at home to say the least :) and had a rather good time. My desire to go and dance like in the college Jam sessions went unfulfilled though. We never got drunk enough to come to terms with the rotten music the DJ was playing, or rather the rotten music the rotten DJ was playing..
