The time is ripe..



There is a guava tree in the center of my hostel, growing out through the courtyard. Of the branches that are reachable from the alleys, I would pick a fruit that was close to being ripe, and plan to eat it fresh off the tree in a couple of days, when the fruit was ripe, but it was always missing by then.
One day I saw the man who runs a small coffee shop we frequent between class up among the branches breaking the fruit and taking them away. They were for sale with the coffee the next day.
So what is this pointless story about? The fact is that time is never ripe for doing what you already know you have to do. Go ahead and do it or you have to pay for it later (Literally).
